The time has come for me to move on to something new, and OK GROW! is no more. Thank you to our clients, and to our amazing team. My focus remains on building great software development teams, but at a larger scale: I have joined Shopify to help lead the App Platform. Shopify’s APIs support not only Shopify’s own products, but also a huge partner ecosystem. (In 2018 Shopify partners earned $1.7 billion!)

I started OK GROW! 8 years ago to help startups build software more successfully, and I’m proud of the work we did.

We helped our clients improve their existing software development processes or launch new products.

Our larger clients included Ticketmaster, Priceline, LoyaltyOne, and the Dubai Government. And our smaller clients turned their ideas into successful growing businesses, sometimes through to acquisitions (and one public listing).

Some of our other successes were:

• Organizing three successful conferences and over a hundred community events.
• Developing a training program: we trained teams at corporate clients and at many conferences including GraphQL Summit and Node Summit.
• Becoming known in the JavaScript and GraphQL communities for our knowledge, passion and open source contributions.

It was an amazing 8 years.

Shopify’s mission is to support entrepreneurs, trusted by over 1 million merchants and thousands of app developers and service providers, so this is a perfect next step for me, at the next level of scale.
